"Jack" Mansfield
WAVERLY- David R. "Jack" Mansfield, 74, of Murrayville, died Sunday afternoon, Jan. 2, 1994, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.
He was born Nov. 19, 1919, in Scottville, the son of A.E. and Lois Rochester Mansfield. He married Wilma Woolfolk Aug. 27, 1950, in Palmyra, and she survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Rod and Steve, both of rural Roodhouse; one daughter, Kim Fortado of Murrayville; five sisters, Helen Greene, Wanda Mansfield, Marjorie Wyatt and Dorothy Damrau, all of Jacksonville, and Joan VanBebber of Lutz, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Mansfield, and a grandson.
Mr. Mansfield was a farmer in Macoupin county. He was a member of the Youngblood Baptist church and a lifetime member of the Scottville Masonic Lodge 426, the Scottish Rite and an honorary member of the following Lodges: Hillview 1094; Milton 275; White Hall 80; Roodhouse 796; Waverly 118; Woodson 1011; Franklin 616; Calvert City, Ky., 543; and Walden 274 Greenville, S.C.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Youngblood Baptist Church in Nortonville. Burial will be at Youngblood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Neece-Airsman-Hires Funeral home in Waverly and one hour prior to services at the church. Masonic rites will be 7:45 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials are suggested to the Scottville Rescue Squad.
