Mrs. Jackson, 79, Passes Away At Hospital Sunday

Mrs. Barbara Jackson, 9, who resided with her son, Lester Jackson, 139 East Dunlap street, died at 3:20 o'clock Monday morning at Our Saviour's hospital. She was a life-time resident of Morgan county.

Mrs. Jackson was born Oct. 26, 1875, in this county, daughter of Joseph and Polly Brown Fanning. She was united in marriage with Charles Jackson at Winchester in 1897. Mr. Jackson preceded her in death in 1926, and a daughter, Mrs. Susie Day, died in 1937.

Surviving are three children, Roy E. Jackson, White Hall; Mrs. Zelpha Sitton and Lester Jackson, both of this city. There are three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Jackson was the last member of a family of eight children.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Youngblood Baptist church at Nortonville, with Rev. William J. Boston officiating. Burial will be made in Youngblood cemetery.

The family will meet friends at the Williamson Funeral Home here from 7 to 9 o'clock Tuesday evening.
