George Albert Grider

George Albert (Bert) Grider, of Lowder, died Thursday morning last week, April 30, at Memorial hospital in Springfield, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Dec. 28,, 1885, in Greene county, the son of Emory H. and Nancy Spencer Grider. He was married Feb. 2, 1910, to Ida Spencer, who survives him, together with three sons, Ralph E. and Lloyd E., of Phoenix, Ariz., and Howard E., of Crestline, Calif. Other survivors are three brothers, Ellis Grider of Murrayville, Vern of Costa Mesa, Calif. and Frank of Pekin, and one sister, Mrs. Lottie Story of Santa Ana, Calif.

Funeral services were held at the Youngblood Baptist church at Nortonville, Sunday afternoon, Rev. Lee Anderson, of Roodhouse, officiating.

Burial was in Youngblood cemetery.
