Louis Foster, 83, of Franklin dies

FRANKLIN- Louis L. Foster, 83, of R.R. 2, Franklin, died Tuesday evening, July 26 at Passavant Hospital.

He was born Feb 9, 1905 in Jacksonville, a son of Fernando and Charlotta Rogers Foster. He married Lorene White Garrett on May 5, 1951 in Springfield.

He is survived by his wife; one stepson, Ed Garrett of Waverly; three brothers, Jim of Lehigh Acres, Fla., Fenton of Jacksonville and Joe of Hanover; three sisters, Helen Stark and Mary Chase, both of Jacksonville, and Letha Fernandes of Litchfield; one step-granddaughter; and four step-grandsons. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Albert, and one sister, Florence.

Mr. Foster had worked for the County Highway Department and was a commissioner for Road District 12.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Youngblood Cemetery at Nortonville. There will be no visitation. Neece Funeral home in Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
