Mrs. Sarah Daniels Is Called by Death
Woman Dies Suddenly Early Today at Home of Son North of Chapin
Mrs. Sarah Daniels, widow of the late Thornton Daniels of this community, died suddenly this morning at the home of her son Reeson Daniels on the George Musch farm in the Hopewell school district, eight miles north of Chapin. Coroner E. O. Sample held an inquest at the home and the jury returned a verdict that death was due to myocarditis.
Members of the family testified that Mrs. Daniels was alive at 4 o'clock this morning. She was found dead in bed at 6:30 o'clock. Dr. A. M. Johnson testified that death was due to heart trouble. Members of the jury were Troy Williams, Harvey Surratt, Joe Pritch, Fritz Schone, Charles McLain and George Musch.
Mrs. Daniels was born in Greene county April 14, 1865. She is survived by one son, Reeson Daniels, with whom she made her home, and three granddaughters. Previous to the death of Mr. Daniels the family home was in Jacksonville.
The remains were brought to the Williamson Funeral home, where services will be held at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon. Burial will be in Youngblood cemetery at Nortonville.
