WILLIAM CHAUDOIN DIES; RITES HELD TUESDAY

William Chaudoin, 71, who resided on Pine street in Jacksonville, died at 4:55 a.m. Sunday at Passavant hospital. The body was brought to the Neece Funeral Home here.

Mr. Chaudoin was born August 16, 1898 in Nortonville community, son of Ezra and Janie Mason Chaudoin.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Whiladel Maxwell of Oregon, Ill.; a son, James of Rockford; two sisters, Mrs. Hubert Hogan and Mrs. Harlan Witherbee, both of Jacksonville; two brothers, Monroe and Ralph, of Franklin; and five grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death, Lloyd, who resided at Auburn, and Sam at Franklin.

Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Youngblood Baptist church at Nortonville, Rev. Kenneth Anders officiating. Rock of Ages, and Precious Lord Take My Hand were sung by the church choir, accompanied by Miss Brenda Chaudoin. Granddaughters assisted with flowers.

Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Ralph H., Dale, Carroll, Paul and Gene Chaudoin, and Leslie Cox.
