Monroe Chaudoin dies; funeral at Youngblood Church

FRANKLIN - Monroe Chaudoin, 79, of Nortonville, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, at Passavant Hospital. He was born in Nortonville, Sept. 3, 1904, a son of William and Janie Mason Chaudoin.

He married Meda Cox Aug. 8, 1929, and she survives with two daughters. Mrs. Charles (Mary) Knapp of Springfield, Mrs. John (Joan) Allen of Franklin, two sons, Dale of Alexander and Leslie of Groveland, Ill, 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Elizabeth Meyers of Freeport, Fla., and Millie Weatherbee of Jacksonville.

He was a retired farmer of the Nortonville area.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Youngblood Baptist Church at Nortonville with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Neece Funeral Home at Franklin. Memorials suggested to the Youngblood Church or Cemetery.
