Meda Chaudoin, 81, of Franklin dies

FRANKLIN- Meda Chaudoin, 81, of Franklin, died 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Passavant Hospital.

She was born March 10, 1906, in Morgan County, the daughter of George and Susan Edwards Cox. She married Monroe Chaudoin on Aug. 8, 1929, in Jacksonville. He preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 1984.

She is survived by two sons, Leslie Cox of Groveland and Dale Chaudoin of Alexander; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Knapp of Springfield and Mrs. John (Joan) Allen of Franklin; 14 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 10 step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Mrs. Chaudoin was a member of the Youngblood Baptist Church in Nortonville.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Youngblood Baptist Church. The remains will be taken to the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Nortonville Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Monday at the Neece Funeral Home in Franklin where the family will meet friends 6:30-8 p.m. Monday. Memorials may be made to the Youngblood Baptist Church.
