Elden L. Patterson, 78, of El Paso, Texas, formerly of Waverly, died at her home in El Paso on Saturday, September 23, 2000. She was born December 12, 1921 in Pangburn, Arkansas, a daughter of William Homer Harding and Jessie Velma Paris Harding Woolfolk. She married Eldon Wayne Patterson on June 23,1941 in Bowling Green, Missouri, and he preceded her in death in 1976.
Surviving are one son, Dale (wife Vicky) Patterson of El Paso, Texas; One daughter, Vicky Lynn (husband Roy) Smith of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one brother, Carroll Woolfolk of Scottville; and one sister, Velma Ambrose of Carlinville; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She retired from MCL Cafeteria in Springfield, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waverly.
Visitation was held Wednesday, September 27, 2000, 6-8 p.m., at Neece Funeral Home in Waverly. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 28 at the First Baptist Church of Waverly, with Rev. Brian Hodges officiating. Burial will be in Waverly East Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Waverly.
