Henry Hurt Dead.

Henry Hurt, born and reared in this city, and well known to many of our people, died at the Springfield hospital last Friday afternoon from the effects of an operation performed upon him for cancer of the bowels. The remains were brought to this city Saturday and interred in the family lot in East cemetery at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Short services were held at the grave by the Rev. R. P. Droke, in the presence of the surviving relatives and a large concourse of sympathizing friends. Deceased had resided in Springfield for several years, where he followed his trade as platerer. He is survived by his father, Charles Hurt, of this city, one brother, Seth, of Springfield, and one niece, Mrs. Robert Fisher, also of that city, besides a number of cousins. he was forty-nine years of age.
