Ella F. Berndt, 80 of Waverly, dies
WAVERLY - Ella Fern Berndt, 80, of Waverly, died 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at Passavant Hospital.
She was born Oct. 23, 1908, near Loraine, daughter of Isaac Judson and Rose Etta Eldridge Baggerly. She married Leonard Berndt Jan. 22, 1927, in Jacksonville. He precede her in death Oct. 13, 1983.
She is survived by three sons, Lawrence Berndt and Don Berndt, both of Waverly, and Darrel Dean Berndt of Arlington, Texas; a daughter, Norma Lacey of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Grace Garrison of Burlington, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild, four brothers and two sisters.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Neece Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial will be in Waverly Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
