Charles B. Pate, 51, a former resident of this city, passed away December 23 at Holly, Florida where he had resided for the past several years.

Mr. Pate is survived by his wife, the former Marjorie Chaudoin and the following children, Charles Eddie, serving with the Navy and stationed in Texas; Rodney and Linda at home and Mrs. Sharon Bryant, Otis A. F. B. in Massachusetts. There are three sisters and one brother, Roy of Alton, Mrs. Mary Wood and Mrs. Everett Lewis of Jacksonville and Mrs. Pat Rhodes of Holly, Fla.

Funeral services were held Sunday in Florida after which the remains were brought to the Neece Funeral Home in Waverly.

Graveside rites were conducted at the Union Cemetery near Pisgah Thursday afternoon.
