V. "Jennie" Lewis dies Thursday; rites Sunday

Virginia (Jenny) Alice Lewis, 56, of 1124 W. Walnut died at 11:05 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 27 at her sisters residence at 1043 N. West St.

She was born July 21, 1927 in Jacksonville, daughter of Charles and Spicey Jane Wilson Pate.

Survivors include two sons, Paul and Randy, both of Jacksonville, and one sister, Priscille Holtzman of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

She was retired from Bound to Stay Bound and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Williamson Funeral Home with burial in Union Cemetery at Pisgah. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday with family to meet friends from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
