Mrs. Sciota Jasper, a former resident of the village, died at the Old People's Home in Jacksonville Monday afternoon at the advanced age of ninety-five years.

She was the daughter of Ephraim and Sally Tatum Davenport and the last survivor of their five children. She married Obediah Jasper in Kentucky and to their union were born three children, two of whom are living: Mrs. J. C. Jasper, of Cave City, Ky., and Mrs. E. A. Coffee, of Clairmont, Okla.

For some time during the later years of their life Mr. and Mrs. Jasper were residents of Franklin. Mr. Jasper died some six years ago and his widow entered the Old People's Home Feb. 10, 1916, and remained an inmate thereof until death. She had been a faithful member of the Christian Church for seventy years.

Funeral services were conducted from the Home yesterday morning at 10 o'clock, in charge of Rev. M. L. Pontius, pastor of Central Christian Church, Jacksonville. Interment was made in Union cemetery near Pisgah.
