Mrs. Rachael Hubbs, aged 76 years, died Thursday, September 29, 1910, at 10 o'clock at the family residence, 1693 S. Pasfield Street, Springfield.

Mrs. Hubbs was born December 8th, 1833, in Paoli, Orange county, Indiana, and moved to Illinois in 1858. For twelve years she was a resident of Morgan county and for the past seventeen years has resided in Springfield. She was married to Joshua Hubbs, who with the following children, survive: Mrs. W. H. Brown, Mrs. G. T. Wiswell, of Jacksonville, Mrs. Everett Burnett of Waverly; Mrs. Chas. Woods of Pisgah; W. L. Hubbs of Chicago; W. N. Hubbs, of Waverly, and G. F. Hubbs of Springfield, and one sister, Mrs. Moses Denny of Shoals, Ind. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The deceased was a member of the Union Baptist church. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at the Union Baptist church near Pisgah. Interment was made in the Union cemetery.
