Mrs. Louisa Davenport, long a resident of Franklin, died Tuesday night last week at Our Savior's hospital in Jacksonville, where she had been under treatment for some weeks. She had been in failing health for several years.

She was born in Kentucky 82 years ago and came to this county in 1864. She was united in marriage to J. Frank Davenport, who died eight years ago. She is survived by the following children: Benjamin of Alexander; William, of Orleans; Jesse, of Maxwell; Mrs. Nellie Spaenhower, of Franklin and Mrs. Sarah Kennedy fo Anthony, Kansas.

Funeral services were held at Union Baptist church near Pisgah last Friday morning at 10 o'clock with interment in Union cemetery.
