Sarah Elizabeth Walker, daughter of Rebecca Riley and James Walker was born March 19, 1855, and departed this life March 21, 1928, two days after her seventy-third birthday.

She was married to James Wood March 27, 1873. Mr. Wood died June 30, 1909.

She was again married November 30, 1915 to Thomas Buchanan who died May 2, 1923.

She is survived by one son, Walter Wood, a grandson, James Walker Wood, one brother D. U. Walker of Arkansas City, Kansas, several nieces and nephews, besides a host of other relatives and loving friends.

Funeral services were held Friday morning at 11 o'clock at Union Baptist Church near Pisgah, Rev. J. E. Curry officiating. Interment was in Union cemetery.
