John T. Adkins, 19, of Springfield died Sunday in Chatham.

He was born Feb. 20, 1978, in Springfield, the son of W. Butch and Vickie Mindock Adkins.

Mr. Adkins formerly of Waverly and Pawnee, lived in Springfield most of his life. He was employed by Mcdonald's on Toronto Road.

Survivors: parents, Butch and Vickie Adkins of Springfield; a brother, Joshua Adkins of Jacksonville; grandmother, Billy Jean Adkins of Franklin; and several aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Bisch Funeral Home West, the Rev. Vytas Memenas officiating. Burial: Union Baptist Cemetery, Pisgah.
