TURNER CEMETERY OBITUARIES

TURNER, LLOYD RHEA
Waverly Journal, April 1901

Died. At the home of his mother, Lloyd Rhea Turner, third son of Mr. and Mrs. David Turner. He was born Feb. 22d, 1869 in Morgan county and came to Macoupin county with his parents when seven years of age where he remained until his death. His suffering at times was intense, but he bore it patiently. Seven years ago he sought the Lord, but never announced himself satisfied until a few days before death. We have these seven years of his life before us, which was as near without a fault as man liveth. From this we believe his soul is at rest. He peaceably passed away Sunday at 3 o'clock, p.m., April 7, 1901, aged 32 years, 1 month and 15 days. He leaves a mother, two brothers, other relatives and friends to mourn his death. His funeral was preached by Rev. George Robertson at Vancil Temple, after which he was laid away to rest at the Turner Cemetery
