Milton Spainhower
of Concord Dies
at Grocery Store

Concord - Milton Spainhower of Concord died in the basement of his grocery store here at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday. He had been a resident of Concord for four years having been born at Sulphur Springs.

The deceased as a member of the Primitive Baptist Church, the Concord Masonic lodge and the town board.

He was born Nov. 24, 1886, the son of John Spainhower and Ellen Conlee Spainhower. Ida Miller Turner became his wife Feb. 26, 1940, in Jacksonville.

Surviving are his wife, a son Russell, of Belleville, and six stepchildren; Mrs. Hartley Birdsell, of Ashland, Mrs. Carl Robinson of Concord, Mrs. Edwin Miers of Pleasant Plains, Mrs. John Scott of Chapin, and Russell Turner and Grover Turner of Jacksonville.

He also leaves a brother, John Spainhower of Girard and a sister, Mrs. Lucy Cox, of Belleville.

The body was brought to the Gillham Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
