Mrs. James Connolly

Murrayville, Jan 9. - Mrs. James Connolly passed away at her home three miles northwest of here at 11:45 p.m. She had been in failing health for a period of several months.

She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. James Casey, Jacksonville; Theresa, and Virginia, at home; two sons, Thomas, St. Louis and Martin, at home.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed

Mrs. James Connolly

Largely attended funeral services for Mrs. James Connolly were held this morning at 9:30 o'clock in St. Bartholomew's Catholic church in Murrayville, Rev. C. S. Bell officiating, assisted by several visiting clergymen. Thomas Connolly, a son who is studying for the priesthood in St. Louis and who will be ordained this spring, participated in the ritual.

Rev. Father Bell was celebrant of solemn requiem high mass, with Rev. P. J. Lawler, Jacksonville, deacon; Rev. George Hobbs, Troy, Ill., sub-deacon and Rev. Father F. J. Hogan, Collinsville, master of ceremonies. Other clergymen in attendance included Rev. Father P. P. McGuiness, Morrisonville, and Rev. Father Costello, Carrollton.

Music was furnished by Louise Flynn, Margaret Walsh and Frank Flynn with Mrs. Frank Flynn as organist.

In care of the flowers were Cecilia Crotty, Anna Doolin, Stella Ring, and Louise Begnel. The casket bearers were Henry Shanahan, William McGrath, Harry Doolin, Francis Tracey, Roy Clark and Maurice Carrigan.
