Samuel T. Crawley died Thursday evening (July 8, 1897) at the home of his son, Wm. Crawley, southeast of the city. The deceased was 76 years of age and had lived in this county all his life with the exception of a short residence in Missouri. He was well known all over this part of the country as an energetic, upright gentleman, and he will be sadly missed in this community. He leaves to mourn him a wife and five children, Mrs. J. W. Boston, Mrs. Spencer Self, Wm. Crawley, Allie Crawley and Mrs. Tillie Clawson.

The funeral will take place from the house at 9 o'clock Saturday morning, Rev. A. B. Morey officiating.
