Mrs. Corriden Cox died at the home of her son, Jerry Cox, on South Hardin avenue Monday evening (Dec. 13, 1897) at 7 o'clock. Mrs. Cox was stricken with paralysis some weeks ago, and her death was expected by her many friends and relatives. She was a lady past 80 years old, the most of her life was lived in this community where she has always held a high place in the esteem of all who knew her.

The funeral will be held from the home of her son Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock, and will be conducted by Dr. W. F. Short. the remains will be interred in the Scott cemetery, 5 miles east of the city.
