On Sunday morning, October 28th at about 3 o'clock, Mr. Asa Talkington, aged 29 years, died at the residence of his father, Joseph Talkington, Esq., on East State street. Mr. Talkington's illness was of short duration, having been confined to his bed only about ten days. His first symptoms were cholera _nerbus and intermittent fever, which finally developed into typhoid fever. Funeral services were held in the M. E. church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, and the body taken from thence to the Rogers' cemetery, west of town, for interment.
