R. H. BLIMLING OF WOODSON DIES FRIDAY
Robert H. Blimling, 82 year old retired farmer living south of Woodson, died at 9:20 a.m. Friday at Passavant hospital where he had been a patient for 11 days.
Mr. Blimling was born in Morgan county July 23, 1885, the son of John and Ada Haney Blimling. He was married to Millicent Irlam Jan. 31, 1911. She preceded him in death July 28, 1958.
Three children survive, Louise, wife of Arthur Pacotti of Taylorville; Robert of Peoria and Arthur of Woodson. There are six grandchildren.
The following brothers and sisters survive, Mrs. F. M. Rook of East St. Louis; Mrs. Marcus Johnson, Kirksville, Missouri; Mrs. Ralph Sibley of Shelbyville, Ind.; Mrs. O. F. Zahn, Harlingen, Texas; R. V. Blimling, Murrayville and Dale Blimling, North Liberty, Indiana.
The deceased was a member of the Woodson Men's Club and at one time was very active in the Morgan County Saddle Club. He was a member of Unity Presbyterian church.
The remains were taken to the Williamson Funeral Home where the family will meet friends from 7-9 p.m., tonight.
Services are scheduled at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Woodson Presbyterian church, Reverend James S. McClymont officiating. Burial will be in Roberts cemetery, south of Woodson.
