Anna M. Gunnell Dies Thursday, Rites Thursday

The Death of Miss Anna M. Gunnells native of Pike county, occurred Tuesday afternoon at 4:10 o'clock at the home of her brother, J.C. Gunnell, 325 East College avenue.

Miss Gunnell was born October 18, 1882, a daughter of Nathan and Elizabeth Gunnell in Pittsfield. She graduated from the Pittsfield high school at the age of 17, and thru her adult years was intensely interested in music having been director of the choir in the Pittsfield Batist Church.

She moved to Jacksonville four and one half years ago and has since made her home here. She is survived by her brother J. C. Gunnell and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Kindred, Alexander and Mrs. E. Janet Masterson of near Bluffs. Her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at the New Hope Baptist church southeast of Franklin Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with burial in New Hope cemetery.
