STANSFIELD, EMMA (VERTREES)

Stansfield.

Mrs. William Stansfield, aged 50 years, died at Maplewood Sanitorium, where she had been a patient for the past three weeks. Mrs. Stansfield was a resident of Murrayville and had been ill for some time.

Mrs. Emma (Vertrees) Stansfield was born in the Zion neighborhood near Murrayville and at the time of her death had reached the age of 50 years. Some twenty years ago she was married to William Stansfield. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Jane Sooy of Nebraska, Mrs. Melissa Carter of Colorado, and Mrs. Cornelius Brown of Hettick; and five brothers, Edward Vertrees, Walter Vertrees and Samuel, Taylor and John Vertrees of Colorado.

The remains were removed to the Stansfield residence in Murrayville Tuesday morning. The time for the funeral had not been definitely settled, but it is thought that it will be held Thursday morning at the M.E. church in Murrayville. Interment will be made in the Gunn cemetery at Murrayville.
