NANCY PRICE MORRIS CROWTHER

Nancy Price Morris was born in Kentucky on 12 Feb 1832. She was first married to George Clark who died years ago. She remained a widow eighteen years and was married to Samuel Crowther 27 Oct 1881 at her sister's in Cass County. She had suffered from rheumatism for years, but took very bad last June and had been growing worse ever since. She had been confined to the house, but not to her bed until nearly the last. She passed from this life at about 11 o'clock Thursday evening, Jan. 5, 1905, to the great beyond where sorrows are no more and joys will flow for evermore. She leaves to mourn a loving husband, two sisters and many neighbors and friends. The funeral was held at the Union church at 11 a.m. Saturday and conducted by Rev. J. A. Murray, pastor of the church of which she was a member. The body was laid to rest in the Union cemetery. (More was printed about what their pastor thought of the lonely life of Mr. and Mrs. Crowther and how they helped each other.)
