Bertha Fay Duckwell, 3 year old daughter of J. Fred and Hazel Duckwell, died at the home of the parents, about eight miles northwest of Jacksonville on Tuesday morning at 4:10 o'clock. This is the second and last child of the bereaved couple to be taken from them by the Grim Reaper this fall, another daughter having died on Sept. 19, 1917. The little girl who died on Tuesday was born Jan. 13, 1914. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, from the home of the mother's parents, who live on a farm adjoining. It will be conducted by Rev. Mr. Ragan, and interment will follow in Ebenezer cemetery.
