HALEY, EFFIE ROCHA (ALANZO)

Effie Rocha Haley, 68, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 9, 1937 in Sacramento, Calif., the daughter of Richard and Ventura Vega Rocha Alanzo. She married Walter Warren Haley on Nov. 7, 1954 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Sacramento, Calif., and he survives.

She is also survived by four sons, Warren Kenneth of Tempe, Ariz., Russell Allan and Robert Wayne (wife, Lisa), both of Jacksonville, and Michael Ray of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Shawn Kenneth, Brett Travis, Brittany Nicole, Jamie Lynn, Cassidy Rena, Kristopher Michael, Jessica Elizabeth and Levi Conner Haley; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Haley was a homemaker and had also worked at Capitol Records and IGA in Jacksonville. She was a member of the Church of Our Saviour and enjoyed reading, puzzles, card games and cooking.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Williamson Funeral Home, with burial at Calvary Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 507 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children Hospital. Condolences may be left at www.airsman-hires.com.
