JOHN F. DOOLIN DIES AT THE AGE OF ALMOST 108 YEARS

Was Born near the Castle of Tim O'Hoe, County of Queens, Ireland --- He was Unquestionably the Oldest Man in Morgan County --- Was a Well-to-do Farmer, and Was Highly Esteemed

John F. Doolin died Monday night at 10 o'clock at his home near Woodson, from an affection of the kidneys.

The deceased was born near the castle of Tim O'Hoe, County Queens, Ireland, June 16, 1788, and he was therefore in the one hundred and eighth year of his age. He was in vigorous health until about six months ago, when his health began to fail and since that time his decline has been rapid.

Mr. Doolin is survived by a family of nine children, all residing in the county. They are Thomas, Jeremiah, Edward, Patrick, Michael, Mrs. John Fitzpatrick, Mrs. Wm. Rook, Miss Julia and Miss Betsy. He is also survived by thirty-six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a large number of nephews among who is State's Attorney F. D. McAvoy.

Mr. Doolin was a well-to-do farmer and was highly respected by all his neighbors.

The funeral will take place from the Catholic church at Murrayville at 10 o'clock a.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in the Catholic cemetery in this city. (Note - This city is referring to Jacksonville Calvary Cemetery.)
