MEIER

John Meier was born in Morgan county, near Jacksonville, Illinois, on February 1st, 1858 and departed this life April 23, 1922, at the age of 64 years, 2 months and 22 days. His death occurred at the home of his brother George near Scottville, where he had spent most of his life.

Deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Meier who preceded him in death with two sisters, Lizzie and Mary. He leaves to mourn his loss three brothers, Henry, of New Berlin; William, of Waverly; and George, of Scottville; besides a large number of relatives and friends. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held at Hartland Baptist church Tuesday afternoon, Rev. E. J. Curry, officiating. Interment was in Bull's Cemetery.
