Otis Mansfield

Palmyra - Otis Mansfield, 92, of Virden, and formerly of the Modesto and Palmyra area, died Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 27, 1998, at Doctors Hospital in Springfield.

He was born April 2, 1905, in Jacksonville, the son of Belle Mansfield Thompson. He married Helen Britenstine in May of 1944, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 7, 1980.

He is survived by one daughter, Ruby Mitchell; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Stults-Neece Funeral Home in Palmyra with burial at Bull Cemetery in Franklin. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services. Memorials are suggested to Bull Cemetery.
