Alfred M. Gray

Alfred M. Gray, 66, of Girard, died at 4:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1986 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

He was born Aug. 20, 1920, in Jacksonville, a son of Virgil and Rosella Martin Gray.

He married Esther Smith, Aug. 2, 1947 and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Morris of Girard and Larry of Murrayville; one sister, Hazel Inman of Murrayville and seven grandchildren.

He was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church of Girard and was retired from Allis Chalmers of Springfield.

Services were held Saturday, Aug. 30, at Neece Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial was in Bull Cemetery south of Franklin.

Pallbearers were A. P. Crawford, Orville Shipp, John Carey, David Seiz, Allen Gray and Jim Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers were Stanley Stewart, Wayne Gray, Don Hopper, Roger Burgess, Glenn Hunt.
