MRS. MARY E. SAGE CALLED BY DEATH SUNDAY MORNING

Prentice Resident, Always a Resident of Morgan County, Dies at Family Residence - Funeral Tuesday at Berea Church

Mrs. Mary E. Sage, a life long resident of Morgan county, passed away at 2:30 o'clock Sunday morning at the home near Prentice. She had been in poor health for several months, her condition growing serious during the last two weeks.

Mrs. Sage was born in the same community in which she died, and was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Bowen Hayes. She was united in marriage with W. b. Sage at Yatesville, September 22, 1872. Mrs. Sage was a member of the Berea Christian church and was an energetic worker in the congregation. Being a resident of the county her entire life, her friendship here was very large.

Surviving are the husband, and the following sisters: Mrs. Jennie Stockton, Humboldt, Neb.; Mrs. Isabelle Sage, Gillman, Iowa, and Mrs. Rose Reynolds, Beaver City, Kan. She also leaves one brother, H. Walter Hayes of Beaver City, Kan., and numerous other relatives, many of whom live in this county.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Berea church. The officiating minister will be Rev. C. E. French of Gibson City, Ill., until recently of Virginia. Interment will be in the Berea cemetery.
