Grace W. Duncan

Grace W. Duncan, 95, of Jacksonville, died Sunday morning, June 27, 1999, at Modern Care Convalescent Facility in Jacksonville.

She was born Aug. 15, 1903, in Shoals, Ind., the daughter of Henry Milton and Mary L. Gray Williams. She married Clarence G. Duncan on Aug. 13, 1932, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1949.

She is survived by one son, Wendell W. (wife, Pat) of West Hartford, Conn.; one daughter, Mrs. Herbert "Eldena" Walls of Jacksonville; three grandchildren; and one brother, Robert H. (wife, Janice) Williams of Alexander. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jude Williams; five sisters, Gladys Benson, Della Birdsell, Imogene Lamson, Edna Johnson and Mary Christine Williams.

Mrs. Duncan was a lab technician at Norbury's Sanitarium for 16 years and then worked for Bound to Stay Bound. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cody & Son Memorial Funeral Home with burial at Berea Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Tuesday with family meeting friends from 5:30 - 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church or Berea Cemetery.
