Ellen Humphrey of Ashland Dies; Burial Saturday
Ashland - Mrs. Ellen Humphrey of Ashland died Thursday at St. John's hospital, Springfield. She was 37 years old. Mrs. Humphrey was admitted to the hospital Tuesday. She had been ill a long time.
Surviving are her husband, Cleo; two children, Cleo, Jr., and Mary Ellen Humphrey; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wilhite, of Chandlerville; five sisters, Mrs. Imogene Wentzel, of Detroit; Mrs. Isabell Geist, of Riton, Calif., and Mrs. Marjorie Reynolds, Miss Hazel Wilhite and Mrs. Elga Michael, all of Chandlerville; two brothers, Glenn Willhite, address unknown, and William Wilhite, of Chambersburg.
The remains were removed to the Hensley Funeral, Pleasant Plains, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Rev. H. M. Hildebrandt will officiate and burial will be in Arcadia cemetery north of Jacksonville.
