Gordon Graveyard
GORDON GRAVEYARD
Menard County, Illinois
No trace remains of what was apparently a family graveyard. Proof of it's existence is given in
the death notice of William Gordon (below) who died on Oct. 24, 1881. No doubt other
members of this same family were also buried in this long forgotten, no longer marked spot.

Deaths.
Died, Oct. 24, 1881, William Gordon, aged 81 years, of old age, 8 miles south-east of Petersburg on Rock Creek. Interred in family graveyard Oct. 25.
