Duncan Graveyard

DUNCAN GRAVEYARD
Menard County, Illinois

No trace remains of what was apparently a family graveyard. Proof of it's existence is given in the death notice of Miss Anna Bogh (below) who died on April 27, 1878. No doubt other members of this same family were also buried in this long forgotten, no longer marked spot.

On Sandridge, April 27, 1878, of consumption, Miss Anna Bogh, aged seventeen years. Buried at Duncan's graveyard, Cass County, April 20th.

NOTE: Duncan graveyard is listed in Menard County cemeteries instead of Cass county. However, the reference to Sandridge indicates that the cemetery must have been located very close to the Cass county line. Cass county borders Menard county to the West near Sandridge.
