Note from Marilyn: Last night while visiting with Pat Hauter of rural Carlinville, we came across some very old papers in her files. This is of great importance as it lists students from the Carlinville area who were attending school during 1858-1859. I checked the list and have many of the people in my files. One is my great grandfather Edward Levi Stevenson Trover. This would most likely have been the year he graduated as he was born March 22, 1839. Some of the students are younger, so I think it must have been a list of any students attending school that year." Other notes Marilyn included: Edward Trover, my great-grandfather, died in 1915. Ellen Neeley died about 1888. John M. Palmer died about 1903. Ellen C. Robertson died before 1911. Marilyn is attempting to find a more accurate date on which this list was published.
