General Search:
1. At the Edwardsville Library Home Page (http://www.edwardsvillelibrary.org),
click on "Catalog" at the top of the page.
2. On the next screen, under "Keyword"
type "MCGS Collection" (without the quotation
marks) and pick "Search".
3. The result will show the MCGS Collection (2000+ titles)
screen by screen.
Note: The search does not seem to be case sensitive.
Search for specific title or author in the MCGS collection:
1. At the Edwardsville Library Home Page, click on "Catalog"
at the top of the page.
2. Click on "More Search Options" near
the top of the page. This will take you into the advanced search
page.
3. Select the "Limit search to available items"
box.
4. From the dropdown menu select "Edwardsville
PL."
5. Enter "MCGS Collection" (without the
quotation marks) in the first keyword box. Then enter the title
or name of the author or keyword (or any combination) in the
other boxes (one entry per box).Pick "Search."
For example, I am looking for Filby's books on passenger and
immigration list. I type in "MCGS collection"
in the first keyword box and "Filby" in the
second keyword box (without the quotation marks) and click on
"Submit". This returns all of Filby's books
in the MCGS collection.
Note: The search does not seem to be case sensitive.
Search for anything in any library in the system:
1. At the Edwardsville Library Home Page, click on "Catalog"
at the top of the page.
2. On the next screen, under "Keyword"
type in a keyword, subject, title, or author and pick "Search".
3. The result will show all the items found in all of the
system libraries.
