Mystery Photos from Barbara Handshy Anderson

The first 22 photographs were received from Barbara Handshy Anderson. She sent the following message: I have in my possesion several unidentified family photographs that belonged to my great grandmother Pauline Koch Handshy Halley. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County, Illinois. During her lifetime she lived in Carpenter, Omphghent, and Edwardsville, Illinois. These photos were passed down through her daughters Olive Handshy Whitehouse and Ruby Handshy. I received them from my second cousin Mark Waldemer, the grandson of Olive Handshy Whitehouse. Some family names these could possibly be connected with are HANDSHY, HALLEY, KOCH, SPARKS, and possibly others. I realize that some of these photos appear to have been taken in St. Louis. In my family research, I have discovered that all of these families seemed to regularly travel between Madison county and St. Louis. Thank you for your help. Ms. Anderson's e-mail address is [email protected].
