Sophia Trader
Sophia Trader, 86, of Scheller died 12:15 a.m. Oct. 3, 2004, at St.
Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Trader was born June 17, 1918, in Ashley to Frank and Anna (Krajnik)
Bock. She married Henry Trader Sept. 20, 1943; he died July 10, 1977.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Barbara's Catholic
Church in Scheller. The Rev. Bert Iffert will officiate. Burial will follow
at St. Barbara's Catholic Cemetery in Scheller. Friends may call from 4
to 8 p.m. today at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville.
Mrs. Trader is survived by a son, John Trader and wife Shirley of Scheller;
grandsons Keith Trader of Scheller and Kevin Trader and wife Melinda of Scheller;
a granddaughter, Kimberly Lowery and husband Danny of Bonnie;
great-grandsons Matthew Trader and Brandon Lowery; a great-granddaughter,
Mackenzie Trader; a sister, Florence Kabat of Scheller; two sisters-in-law,
Helen Buck and Doreen Trader; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Bock; her mother, Anna (Krajnik)
Bock; her husband, Henry Trader; her brother, Joe Buck; her sister, Mary
Sherman; and an infant sister, Anna.
Mrs. Trader was a member of St. Barbara's Sodality, Catholic Daughters of
America and AARP of Du Bois.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Barbara's Cemetery and
will be accepted at the funeral home. For more information you may
