Mrs. Mary Norris, Well Known
in Southwest Part of County
Will be Buried Sunday Morning.
Mrs. Mary J. Norris, widow of W.H. Norris, died yesterday afternoon at
2:45 o'clock at the home of her son, Stanley W., near Waltonville. She
had been in impaired health for about five months.
Mrs. Norris was born in Bracken county, Kentucky, July 31, 1856. She was
a daughter of Amos and Nancy Wells. Her husband, to whom she was married
Nov. 25, 1874, died Jan. 21, 1927. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock
Sunday morning in the Universalist church at Waltonville. Burial will follow at
Knob Prairie cemetery. The body will remain at the home of her son until the
funeral hour.
Mrs. Norris is survived by one son, Stanley W. Norris, and one daughter,
Mrs. Ora Ragland, both of Waltonville, and two, sisters, Mrs. Allie Nowland of
Waltonville and Mrs. Elizabeth Newbury of Mt. Vernon. One son, Joseph H., preceded
her in death in 1925.
