Edward Nooner

Edward E. NOONER died at his home in Kenton, Tenn., October 20, 

Edward E. NOONER, after a brief illness, of heart failure. 
The subject of this sketch was born in Weakley county, Tenn., 
near Dudedom, Feb. 8, 1870, where he spent 13 years of his youth 
on the farm of his father. 

He was the son of William and Mary J. NOONER, moved with them in 
1883 to Jefferson county, Illinois, where he professed religion and 
joined the M. E. church at Opdyke. He moved for the farm to Mt. Vernon 
and united with the Methodist church. In 1889 he returned to Tennessee 
and entered school at Union City, making his home with brother, 
T. J. NOONER and for three years was a student and a teacher. He entered 
school at Valpariso, Ind., after which he began teaching in Obion county, 
where he was universally admired. 

He was happily united in marriage to Miss Susie FOSTER on August 8, 1897. 
He was successfully teaching when he fell ill. His sorrowing wife, mother, brothers 
and sisters have suffered a loss which time has no power to restore,and they have 
our sympathy in their bereavement. His father, three sisters and a brother proceeded 
him across the river of death. Those that survive are Mrs. Cynthia and Mrs. Monia 
CAMPBELL of Bandwell, Ky.; Mrs. Will CONRAD of Dakota; John E. NOONER 
of Bandwell; T. J. NOONER of Fulton, Ky., and S. A. of Vicksburg, Miss. 

The deceased was laid to rest in the Foster cemetery, Revs. BRANSFORD and BROWN 
officiating. A few days later the angel of death knocked at the door of the same home and took 
their precious little babe, who for three months had brightened their home with its smiles. 
Weep not, dear mother, as those who have no hope, but live as your dear Eddie and little 
Edward lived and you will meet again by and by.
