Mrs. Fay NEWELL, 91, Resident of Langleyville, Dies Today: 
Aug. 20, 1977 - Taylorville, Ill. 

Mrs. Fay Newell, 91 of Langleyville, died at 1:34 o’clock this morning, 
in St. Vincent’s Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since
August 16. Mrs. Newell was born August 9, 1886 at Waltonville, a 
daughter of Eugene and Jemina Lennington Fairchild. On Feb. 16, 1904, 
she was married to Claude Newell, who died June 3, 1974. She had resided 
at Langleyville for the past 37 years. Surviving are three daughters,
Mrs. Pauline Workman of Moweaqua; Mrs. Mario (Geraldine) DaRos of
Langleyville and Mrs. Alta Rhodes Carter of Akron, Ohio; a half brother, 
Nelson Fairchild of Monroe, La; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, in the Shafer Funeral Home with 
burial in Moweaqua Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 until 9 o’clock 
Monday night at the funeral home.
