Buddy Dean Neideffer
Funeral services for Buddy Dean Neideffer, 10, of 1008 N. 7th St., who drowned
in Casey Fork Creek Wednesday night, will be held at Myers Chapel at 1:30 pm Sunday,
with the Rev. Clarence Coats officiating.
Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 5 pm today.
A playmate told police that the boy fell from a tree into rain- swollen Casey Fork Creek
at 6 pm Wednesday. The body was found yesterday morning after intensive searching by divers
and men in boats and on shore.
Buddy Neideffer was born in Mt. Vernon on July 6, 1962, the son of Leonard D. and Mary (Boster) Neideffer.
He was a fourth grade student at Franklin school, and was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his father and mother; two brothers, Leonard and Jeffery, at home; two sisters,
Mary and Alma Ruth, at home; and three grandparents, Mrs. Alma Mays, Mt. Vernon, and Mr. and
Mrs. Truman Neideffer, Mt. Vernon.
