Delcie Margaret Nance


Delcie M. Nance, 72, 219 N. Seventh St., died 4:56 p.m. Feb. 14, 1989, 
on South 20th St. at the home of a lady for whom she cared.

Mrs. Nance was a beauty operator for several years and for the last 
several years she cared for people in their home as a private nurse.

Mrs. Nance was born Aug. 15, 1916, in Jefferson County, a daughter of 
Harvey I. and Irene J. (Black) Fryar. She married Aaron Nance, who died 
May 23, 1959.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hughey Funeral Home with the 
Rev. Buss Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nance is survived by one stepdaughter, Ruby Yeager of Mt. Vernon; 
two stepgrandchildren; four sisters, Wilma Hungate, Ruby Watts, and Agnes Fryar, 
all of Mt. Vernon and Sylvia Gray of Seward; one brother, Ben Fryar of Mt. Vernon; 
and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Nance was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parent; and two brothers, 
Teddy Fryar and Melvin Fryar.
