Lawrence Moss

Lawrence Moss, 76, of Rockford, died at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 1996, 
at his home after a lengthy illness. 

Born Nov 24, 1919, in Jefferson County; Ill., the son of Lawrence and 
Margie Taylor Moss. Married Adeline Anderson in Cherry Valley on A
pril 15, 1955. Resident of Rockford more than 50 years. 
Retired maintenance man, formerly employed by Swift & Co., Rochelle. 
U.S. Army Veteran of World War 2. Life member of John Hugo Kaiser V.F.W. 
Post 1461. 

Survivors include his wife, Adeline; son, Lawrence T. Moss; daughter 
Marcia (Walt) Foley, all of Rockford; three grandchildren, Josh Pinkston, 
Jeremy Walter Burton and Chelsey Lynn Burton; special friend, Darlene 
Slabenak; one sister. 

Predeceased by his parents; granddaughter, Amber Pinkston; one sister 
and eight brothers.
