Belle Moss, 76, Dies Wednesday; Rites Saturday
Miss Belle Moss, 76, of 1224 south Tenth street, died at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday
at the Mt. Vernon Tuberculosis Sanitarium, where she had been a patient for the
past three and one-half years.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Cumberland Presbyterian
church in this city, of which she was a member, with the Rev. Fred Turner and the
Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
Miss Moss was bom July 12, 1885 in Morganfield, Ky., the daughter of Tom and Julia (Beckner)
Moss. She is survived by a brother, Bradley of this city; and four sisters, Miss Maggie Moss
and Mrs. Pearl Smith, both of this city, Mrs. Bessie Ward of St. Louis, and Mrs. Ada Smith
of Detroit, Mich.
